Scanning a QR code

Does the finder need an app or an account?

No. Any phone camera opens the page in the browser.

Does scanning reveal where someone is?

No. A QR code does not track anything. A finder can choose to share their location when they contact you.

The code will not scan. What should I do?

Print it at least 2 cm wide with a light margin around it, keep the surface flat and clean, and test the link from your dashboard before printing.

Account setup

How do I create an account?

Sign up with your email and a password of at least 10 characters. We send a link to confirm your email.

I did not get the confirmation email.

Check your spam folder, then use Resend email in your dashboard.

I forgot my password.

Use Forgot password on the login page. The reset link works once and expires after one hour.

Emergency profiles

What can a stranger see?

Only the fields you marked for anyone who scans, plus the name and type of the profile. Everything else stays private, and health details appear only if you choose.

Who can manage a profile?

The owner, plus guardians, caregivers and trusted contacts you invite by email. They get access only after they sign in with that address and accept, and you can remove them at any time.

Is this medical advice?

No. The information is provided by you or your guardian and is shown as such. La2eeto does not diagnose anything and does not replace emergency services.

Lost Mode

What does Lost Mode do?

For a pet, the public page shows a clear warning and a contact button. If you added phone numbers, they appear too, and only while Lost Mode is on.

Can I allow WhatsApp messages but no calls?

Yes. Add a WhatsApp number in the separate field. Finders get a message button and no call button for it.

How do I turn it off?

Open your profile and turn Lost Mode off, or mark the pet as reunited. Phone numbers disappear from the public page immediately.

Will I be notified when someone writes?

Yes, by email, once your email address is confirmed. You can turn this off in Settings. To avoid flooding your inbox we send at most one email every 5 minutes. Push notifications on your phone are not available yet.

Lost & found reports

Who or what can I report?

Pets and items. People are never listed publicly: if a person is lost or hurt, call your local emergency number.

How does matching work?

We compare the type, area, date, colour and description of lost and found reports and show why they look alike. A suggestion is not proof, and the other person decides whether it fits.

Can others see my phone number or email?

No. People contact you through La2eeto messages, and reports show only a general area you chose.

Privacy

What can the public see?

Only the fields you left visible, plus the photo if enabled. Distinguishing features and private details stay private. Phone numbers show only if you choose.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Delete a profile to remove its QR code, photo, details and messages, or delete your whole account in Settings to remove everything you own. This cannot be undone.

Can I see who scanned my code?

Scan activity shows when each QR page was opened and for which profile. It never shows who scanned or where. You choose how long it is kept, from 7 days to a year (90 by default). A location is shared only by a finder who writes to you.

Physical tags

Can I buy a tag from La2eeto?

Not yet. For now, open a profile and choose Print tags: it lays out round and rectangular tags, cards and stickers, ready to print at home or at a print shop. You can also make a lost-pet poster there.

Deactivated or replaced codes

What happens if I deactivate a profile?

Anyone who scans the code sees a page saying it is not available. You can reactivate it later and the same code works again.

What happens to an old code after I replace it?

It stops working immediately and shows the same not-available page. Print the new code.

Children

What does a child profile show?

Only a first name or nickname, plus what the guardian chose to share: an age range, an important alert, communication needs and how to help. There is no photo, school, address, routine, live location or public phone number.

Who can contact my child?

Nobody. Finders write to the guardian through La2eeto, and the guardian's phone number and email stay private.

Can I create a child profile now?

Child profiles are switched off until our security, privacy, child-safety and legal reviews are complete. Nothing about a child is published today.
